Yahosh BonnerThis week’s “Video Find of the Week” features the vocal talents of two R&B and Pop Music fans, Yahosh Bonner and Kaylea Hix. In the featured video, they perform a flawless cover of Meghan Trainor’s song “Like I’m Gonna Lose You.”

Yahosh Bonner comes from an accomplished musical heritage and has been surrounded by music ever since he was a young boy. He is the son of Debra Bonner, a well-known icon in the music industry who passed her love of music on to her 8 children. Debra Bonner is one of America’s Leading Voice Teachers with over 20 years of experience backed by a Masters of Music Degree in Voice Performance from University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. As a well-known vocal coach, she has helped develop the voices of American Idol finalists. She has also shared her gift as a talented singer with audiences in several countries, and she has also been a guest soloist for the world-renowned Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Yahosh is originally from Las Vegas, Nevada. He is a graduate of Mountain View High School in Mesa, Arizona, and is an alumni of Choate Rosemary Hall, a highly selective, private college-preparatory boarding school located in Wallingford, Connecticut, having graduated in 2004. He also attended University of Northern Colorado where he majored in Communication Studies, with a minor in Sociology, and graduated in 2010 with a Bachelor Degree in Communication. His love of music is deeply rooted in his love for the gospel. He has performed with such artists as Alex Boyé, James The Mormon, Mauli B, and Oyoyo Joi.

Kaylea Hix has been singing, dancing, and performing since she was four years old. Her favorite genres are R&B, Pop, and Soul. She states, “My main goal is to be an outlet and an inspiration for people who struggle in life and need somewhere or someone to turn to, to find happiness, peace and to just have fun.” She studied at Utah Valley University, and she is also a student of Debra Bonner.

American singer-songwriter Meghan Trainor recorded the song for her first studio album. The song, the fourth single from the album, was released by Epic records on 23 June 2015. It was written by Trainor, Justin Weaver, and Caitlyn Smith, and produced by Chris Gelbuda and Trainor. It is meant to be a soul song, but lyrically, it is an optimistic inspiring love song with a theme of fatalism, and conveys the message to not take time with ones you love for granted. The words to the chorus of the song are:

So I’m gonna love you, like I’m gonna lose you
And I’m gonna hold you, like I’m saying goodbye.
Wherever we’re standing,
I won’t take you for granted,
‘Cause we’ll never know when, when we’ll run out of time.

Yahosh and Kaylea in their duet do an excellent job of conveying the intended message of never taking anyone, especially those that we love, for granted, but rather we should cherish every moment that we have to spend together.
