One Voice Children's Choir - DiamondsLike the precious stones that diamonds are as they sparkle and glitter in all their beauty, the talented voices of the One Voice Children’s Choir shine bright as they perform an astounding cover of Rihanna’s “Diamonds.” The video was released on their YouTube channel on Monday, 24 October 2016, and has already garnered more than 20,000 views. Under the direction of Masa Fukuda, the group performed the song at the Spiral Jetty near Promontory Summit, Utah, USA.

Deseret News reports, “For a children’s choir, the video has a surprisingly full sound and many talented soloists that truly ‘shine bright like a diamond.’” Per the description of the video, “This short yet impactful arrangement was prepared specifically for NBC’s America’s Got Talent (Season 9) to meet their 90-second criteria if the choir was to move on to the Semi-final / Final rounds. Unfortunately, the choir was eliminated from the competition in 2014 in the Quarterfinals in the Judges’ Choice.

The One Voice Children’s Choir is comprised of 140 children ages four through eighteen from northern Utah along the Wasatch Front, Park City area, and Heber Valley. The choir was founded in 2001 by Masa Fukuda, an American songwriter, music arranger, and choir director, after composing the song “It Just Takes Love” for the 2002 Winter Olympics. The choir, originally named the 2002 Winter Olympics Children’s Choir, was not named the One Voice Children’s Choir until 2005. Their genre of music includes pop music, gospel music, classical music, Broadway musical songs, and patriotic songs. Each of their vibrant performances offers a positive message that leaves their audiences feeling uplifted and inspired.

One Voice Children's Choir - DiamondsOver 500 Utah children have had an opportunity to sing in the One Voice Children’s Choir since its beginning.
