There are several different types of apps available specifically for Latter-day Saints. Apps are tools specially designed to aid us in accomplishing various tasks. There are apps available to help with studying and memorizing scriptures, and apps for reading individual volumes of scripture such as the Holy Bible and the Book of Mormon. There are also apps for accessing study guides and teaching manuals for the different classes taught at Church, as well as General Conference messages.
Now, there is a new mobile app which has been developed to allow a person to sing along with his or her favorite children’s songs and hymns. The app is called LDS Sing-Along 2 and is perfect to use for learning the music and teachings of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It can be utilized as a Sunday activity, and serve as an accompaniment to singing during Family Home Evening, family prayer, and scripture study. Another use of the app is in teaching Primary lessons in Church. It should be noted, however, that the new LDS Sing-Along app is neither affiliated with nor endorsed by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
With this app, made by LDS Mobile Apps, LLC, a person will be able to experience a combination of beautiful photos, inspiring music, and teachings that can change his or her life, all with the guidance of a bouncing ball. Some of the functions of this app include:
- Creating individual playlists
- Singing with the new karaoke mode
- Watching beautiful photos and artwork synchronized to the lyrics
- Personalizing songs by replacing photos with your own
- Seeing what’s coming next with two lines of lyrics at a time
- Jumping to any point in a song with verse markings
- Using the shuffle feature to learn new songs or just mix it up
The new LDS Sing-Along 2 app is available to be downloaded for free from the App Store. When a person downloads the app, they will be given access to a preview of 20 favorite songs and hymns. A full upgrade is available for purchase from within the app at any time. A discount is also available to those upgrading from an older version of LDS Sing-Along. The previous version must remain installed to get a discount for upgrading to a newer version.

I would venture to say that if you cannot find the app in the Google Play store, then it probably has not been developed for the android as of yet. Thanks!
How do you personalize the songs by replacing the photos with your own?
Will you be re-releasing the Apple TV Version? This is the one we use every day but now the old version doesn’t download songs anymore. Streaming from the phone is lower quality usually.
