Paul Cardall

PaulCardall1Paul Cardall loves life. That, he says, is the focus of his latest album. The two-disc set, titled “Living for Eden,” is very autobiographical, he says, and it’s all about the things he loves in life.  Paul has congenital heart disease (CHD), and was waiting for a heart transplant for a very long time.  However, in September of 2009, he received his new heart and is healthy and well.

Paul performed in February 2010 at Abravanel Hall in Salt Lake City, Utah.  He entitled the benefit concert “Celebrate Life”, and put on an amazing and touching show with many special guests.  Among the other perfomers: Ryan Tilby, Steven Sharp Nelson, Peter Breinholt, Mindy Gledhill, Charley Jenkins, Sam Payne, and more.  The proceeds of the concert benefited families affected by CHD, through scholarships or monetary gift.

He, his sweet wife Lynette, and their daughter Eden have experienced heart-ache and disappointment through Paul’s illness.  However, they maintain to set a sincere example of faith through their journey, and look forward to a lifetime of love and health.

Paul’s music is inspirational, to say the least.  He has an abundance of life experiences that have fed his creative songwriting.  Those who have heard his music will testify to the truth and passion that makes Paul’s music so captivating.

Paul experienced the sadness of losing a close friend in high school.  He chose to turn to music as an outlet for the emotions he felt at the time.  He had already loved music, and was unable to participate in the sports he loved due to CHD.  In the mid-eighties, a staph infection in his heart caused Paul to have an open-heart surgery.  His wife, Lynette, has been through several miscarriages.  They speak openly about their trials in life, and always bring the focus back to the Savior, and the love they have for each other.

Paul’s willing to accept challenges as they come, and is eager to share with others what he has learned.  He speaks with humility, yet holds a quiet strength that draws others to him.  Paul’s blog has been an inspiration to thousands, due to his honestly and openness.

He has put out a host of albums, all of which are uplifting and powerful.
