Debra Fotheringham

Debra FotheringhamAlthough Debra Fotheringham was quiet as a child, she was imaginative and creative.  She was raised in American Fork, Utah as the ninth of eleven children.  Debra gift in music and writing allowed her to share her creativity and ideas with others.  Her father played the saxophone as a professional musician when he was young, so Debra had always been exposed to a huge range of music.  She learned to play the violin, trumpet, percussion, and guitar.  Her  favorite instrument obviously turned out to be the guitar.

Debra began to write her own songs, which allowed her to utilize her creativity, and performed in the public since she was only sixteen.  She sings with ease and strength, as though she’s having a conversation with a close friend.  Debra’s quiet confidence shows as she performs for crowds in Seattle, New York, and even Paris.

She met Giles Riaves, successful Nashville producer/engineer, in 2006 and began work on her self-titled album.  Along with Debra’s flawless voice, percussion, and guitar, the sounds of her album include Ryan Tilby on an upright bass and Giles Riaves on the drums and keyboards.

Debra has already appeared at The Bitter End in NYC and Hollywood’s House of Blues.  She was also in the Top Ten Finalists the Rocky Mountain Folks Festival in Colorado.
