Music producer and musician David Foster gave glowing praise about the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

Legendary music producer David Foster talked about his admiration of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and his collaboration with them on their most recent album, Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Friends.

David Foster has been called one of the most successful music producers of all time. From Barbara Streisand and Celine Dion to Michael Jackson and Madonna, Foster has worked with just about every big name out there. He has won 16 Grammys and has been nominated 47 times. A man like Foster knows music, and he’s chosen to use his talents to partner with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

In a recent interview with Forbes, Foster told the magazine that he’s been a fan of the 360-member choir for quite some time.

“…I’ve been involved for the last 10 or 15 years with the choir and it’s always a pleasure to go there. It’s musically so rich and so deep and the choir is extraordinary. The power of 360 singers and a 100 piece orchestra all at once in this beautiful setting, it’s almost overwhelming and it’s something that keeps drawing me back. I love it every time,” Foster told Forbes.

The Mormon Tabernacle Choir’s most recent album, Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Friends, features collaborations with many other prominent artists such as Yo-Yo Ma and James Taylor. Foster told Forbes that he has always been impressed by the professionalism and the quality of recording equipment of the choir.

“They have world-class recording equipment there. It isn’t like a big recording studio, but nevertheless, it’s a world-class recording studio,” Foster said to Forbes.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Friends features David Foster and other famous artists collaborating with the choir.

Foster also said that whatever process the choir goes through to find such quality voices is impressive. For such a big name in the music world, Foster’s praise of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir is something to take seriously. He appears on the album in the song “The Prayer” that was originally written for the movie Quest for Camelot.  Traditionally sung as a duet (and made famous by none other than Celine Dion and Andrea Bocelli) the song is given a new spin and depth when sung by the entire choir.

The choir’s quality voices and wide repertoire has made it possible for them to collaborate with many different musicians over the years. Mormon Tabernacle Choir and Friends is the culmination of all those collaborations and is an album that fans of any music genre can enjoy.
