Jason Lyle BlackJason Lyle Black, originally from Livermore, California, is professionally known as The Backwards Piano Man ®. He began playing the piano at the age of 8, and creating original piano entertainment at the age of 14 when he first performed his trademark “The Entertainer” backward piano act.

Currently residing in Salt Lake City, Utah, Jason is no stranger to the music and entertainment industry. He is an award-winning concert pianist, composer, and stage performer who has wowed worldwide audiences with his prowess as an expert piano player.

In 2004, he released his debut album of original new age piano music called Flood of Keys. With a focus on forming robust remixes of some classical favorites, he released his second album called Another Point of View in 2009. The album included, among other classics, an electrifying rendition of “Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony.”

His music can be found on iTunes, Google Play, Spotify, Pandora radio, and other music venues. According to his bio on his official website, “In addition to his work as a composer, Black is a published arranger with Hal Leonard, the world’s largest sheet music publisher, having arranged piano solos of the music of Michael Jackson, Taylor Swift, Maroon 5, and other artists.”

He joined YouTube on 5 March 2009 and as of early May 2016 his channel has garnered over 33,000 subscribers with more than 9 million views of his amazing videos. His videos have been featured by such popular sources as Huffington Post, Buzzfeed, Yahoo, and Good Morning America.

Jason’s hard work and devotion as an accomplished pianist have not gone unnoticed. In late 2015, he gained the attention of #1 Billboard artist and producer Paul Cardall who is also the successful owner of the independent record label, Stone Angel Music. Jason’s debut album with Stone Angel Music called Piano Preludes will be released worldwide on 6 May 2016. The album features fifteen exquisite original compositions for piano and orchestra. Among the featured artists on the album is Sara Arkell (The Piano Gal) who plays a serene duet with Jason on the song “Springtime.” The YouTube video for the song was published on Jason’s YouTube channel on 26 March 2016 and has already been viewed almost 2,600 times.

Jason Lyle Black Piano PreludesAlso appearing on Piano Preludes with Jason is Grammy-nominated violinist Jenny Oaks Baker who accompanies him on a French-infused piece called “Champs-Élysées.” The video of their expressive performance was published on Jason’s YouTube channel on 3 May 2016 and can be seen below.

Piano Preludes was produced by Paul Cardall and is available to order from iTunes and Amazon.com. It will be coming soon to Pandora, Spotify, and Google Play. This is a must have album. It is too good to just buy a copy and keep for yourself. This is definitely an album that you will want to share with others.
